3 Days from Fez to Merzouga

Day 1: Fez – Middle Atlas – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Early departure from Fez towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland for its alpine architecture and beautiful natural surroundings.

We continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where it is possible to observe monkeys living freely. The journey then continues through the impressive Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and oases.

Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. We begin a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying the sunset in the Sahara Desert. Arrival at the desert camp, traditional dinner, and a night under the stars with Berber music.

Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Khamlia – Nomadic Families

After watching the sunrise in the desert and enjoying breakfast, we take a 4×4 excursion through the Merzouga desert.

We visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, and share tea with nomadic families while learning about their traditional way of life. We explore oases, old mines, and unique landscapes of the Sahara.

In the afternoon, we return to the hotel or camp in Merzouga. Dinner and overnight stay in accommodation near the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez

After breakfast, we begin the journey back to Fez, once again traveling through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains.

We make stops for photographs and rest in local villages and natural viewpoints. Arrival in Fez in the afternoon, ending this complete 3-day tour to the Sahara Desert.
