Day 1: Arrival in Fez – Visit of the Imperial City
Reception at the airport or accommodation in Fez. We begin a guided visit of Fez el-Bali, one of the best preserved medieval medinas in the world.
We discover Al Karaouine University, the Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the traditional souks and the famous tanneries. In the afternoon, panoramic visit of the Borj Sud viewpoint.
Dinner and overnight in a traditional riad in Fez.
Day 2: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Rabat
After breakfast, departure to Meknes, an imperial city founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. We visit Bab Mansour Gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the medina.
We continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with impressive mosaics and archaeological remains.
Arrival in Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. We visit Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad in Rabat.
Day 3: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
After breakfast, departure to Casablanca, the economic capital of the country. We visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world.
We continue to Marrakech. Arrival in the afternoon and free time to explore Jemaa el-Fna square, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Dinner and overnight in a riad in Marrakech.
Day 4: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we cross the High Atlas through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying spectacular landscapes.
We visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a setting for numerous films and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Ouarzazate and along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs until reaching the Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, departure to the impressive Todra Gorges, a natural canyon with vertical walls.
We continue to Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi to enjoy the sunset in the desert.
Dinner and overnight in a desert camp, under a starry sky, with Berber music.
Day 6: Merzouga – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt
We wake up early to see the sunrise in the Sahara. After breakfast, we depart to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and cross the Ziz Valley once again.
Arrival in Midelt, a city located between the High Atlas and the Middle Atlas. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 7: Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez
After breakfast, we cross the Middle Atlas. Stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, where monkeys live freely, and in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland.
Arrival in Fez in the afternoon and end of the 7-day Imperial Cities and Desert tour from Fez.
