4 Days from Fez to Merzouga

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Early departure from Fez towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. First stop in Ifrane, famous for its alpine architecture and its clean and orderly atmosphere. We continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where monkeys live freely.

We proceed through Midelt and cross the impressive Ziz Valley, known for its endless palm groves and panoramic views. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon.

Camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying the sunset in the Sahara. Arrival at the desert camp, traditional dinner, and a night under a starry sky accompanied by Berber music.

Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Khamlia – Nomads

After watching the sunrise over the dunes, breakfast at the camp. We begin a 4×4 excursion through the Merzouga desert.

We visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music, share tea with nomadic families, and explore natural oases and ancient desert paths. Free afternoon to relax or walk through the dunes.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or camp near Erg Chebbi.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley

After breakfast, departure to Rissani, the former capital of the Tafilalt region and an important center of traditional trade.

We continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils and fossilized marble. We return through the Ziz Valley, enjoying landscapes different from those seen the previous day.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse in the valley area or in Midelt.

Day 4: Ziz Valley – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez

After breakfast, we resume the journey to Fez, crossing the Middle Atlas once again. Stops in Azrou and Ifrane to rest and take photographs.

Arrival in Fez in the afternoon and end of the 4-day tour from Fez to Merzouga and back to Fez.
