Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora
We depart early from Marrakech heading toward the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the impressive Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Along the way, we make panoramic stops to admire the mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages.
We continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we enjoy a guided visit to discover its history and unique architecture.
After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, and then travel through the spectacular Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient adobe kasbahs.
We arrive in Zagora in the afternoon, where we enjoy a camel ride at sunset, experiencing the tranquility of the desert. Traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight in a desert camp or a typical hotel in the area.
Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we watch the sunrise over the desert and begin the journey back to Marrakech. We travel again through the Draa Valley, with stops for photos and visits to local villages.
We pass through Ouarzazate, where it is possible to make a brief exterior visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt or the film studios, depending on the available time. We continue crossing the High Atlas Mountains, with strategic stops to enjoy panoramic views.
Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon, ending this unforgettable 2-day tour to the Zagora desert.
