4 Days from Fez to Merzouga and Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Middle Atlas – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Early departure from Fez crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland, and in the cedar forests of Azrou, where it is possible to see monkeys living freely.

We continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and oases. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon.

We begin a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying the sunset in the Sahara Desert. Arrival at the desert camp, traditional dinner, and a night under the stars with Berber music.

Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Khamlia – Nomadic Families

After watching the sunrise in the Sahara and enjoying breakfast, we take a 4×4 excursion through the Merzouga desert.

We visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music, share tea with nomadic families, and explore oases and unique desert landscapes.

In the afternoon, return to the accommodation near the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or desert camp in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we depart for Rissani, the former capital of the region and an important traditional trading center.

We continue to the impressive Todra Gorges, a spectacular natural canyon ideal for walking and taking photographs. In the afternoon, we head to the Dades Valley, traveling along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad in the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we depart for Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert.

We visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying mountain landscapes and panoramic stops.

Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon and end of the tour.
