9 Days from Marrakech Imperial Cities

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Reception at Marrakech airport and transfer to the riad or hotel. Free time to rest or walk through the medina and Jemaa el-Fna Square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast, guided tour of Marrakech, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the traditional souks. Free afternoon to explore the city or enjoy tea on a panoramic terrace. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Early departure to the south crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, with panoramic stops and visits to Berber villages.

We visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges

We travel along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley.

Arrival at the Todra Gorges, where we take short walks and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Dinner and overnight in a nearby hotel.

Day 5: Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, we continue to Merzouga, passing through oases and traditional villages.

Upon arrival, we enjoy a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset in the Sahara. Traditional dinner and overnight in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fez

Early wake-up to watch the sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, journey to Fez, passing through the Ziz Valley, the Middle Atlas Mountains, and the cedar forests of Azrou.

Brief stop in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland, before arriving in Fez. Overnight in a traditional riad.

Day 7: Guided Visit of Fez

Full day exploring Fez, visiting its medina, madrasas, mosques, souks, and historical monuments. Opportunity to visit artisan workshops and taste local cuisine. Overnight in Fez.

Day 8: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, departure to Meknes, an imperial city rich in history. We continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then travel to Chefchaouen, the blue city of the Rif Mountains. Overnight in a traditional riad in Chefchaouen.

Day 9: Chefchaouen – Tetouan – Casablanca or Marrakech

After breakfast, departure to Tetouan (optional visit) and continuation to Casablanca or Marrakech depending on the traveler’s plan. Arrival and end of the 9-day tour.
